Graduate students

The standard admission procedure at UC Berkeley is to apply to the University first, where your application will be reviewed by the admissions committee. (Note that Dr. Brenner is not on any admission committees this year and has no control over your admission.) Upon acceptance, you would then approach a professor about studying in their lab. Incoming students typically rotate through three labs before choosing the one in which they will do their doctoral research.
Because of the interdisciplinary nature of our research, Dr. Brenner has appointments in several departments and programs.
